Salary Expectations

Pay Transparency

BC’s Pay Transparency Act promotes fair compensation and the reduction of pay gaps across all industries. At Stillwood, we fully support these objectives: our wages are 100% transparent, and our salaries are determined using a clear, equitable formula. We believe in minimizing any stress or uncertainty around compensation.

When considering wages at Stillwood, remember that our work is meaningful, energizing, and fulfilling, carried out by a talented team driven by our mission to transform lives. As a non-profit, we allocate nearly half of our total revenue to wages, and the remaining funds are devoted to running our programs.

It’s also important to recognize that salary is only one part of our comprehensive compensation package. At Stillwood, housing (based on availability & policy), meals, health care, and access to our facilities are all included as a taxable benefit, reflecting our commitment to valuing and supporting our employees.

Salary Formula

  • Relevant Education: The number of full years (up to a maximum of 5) in a relevant field of study.

  • Living Onsite: Employees who live offsite receive a higher wage than those who live onsite.

  • Commute: Employees commuting over 40 km qualify for additional compensation.
